Meet Thomas Kivisto

Thomas Kivisto was born in Ironwood, Michigan and raised in Illinois. He earned a full scholarship to the University of Kansas, where he graduated with honors and a major in psychology. He then studied urban planning at the Kansas School of Architecture.

After university, Kivisto maintained a successful 14-year career with Koch Oil. In 1993 he resigned from his position as Executive Vice President to persue his own ventures. He has since founded several companies including his oil and gas equipment, real estate, and technology startup Lakeshore Energy Capital.
